History
In 2000, our family purchased this 51 acre farm to supply our retail garden center, Great Swamp Greenhouses. Since then, we’ve planted over ten acres of grapevines on a sunny hillside at the top of the property and transformed a large storage barn into a spectacular 7000 square foot winery.
The younger generation will take the helm at the new business, and while being the first family members to have formal education in the industry (Justen- B.S. in Agricultural Sciences from Rutgers University; Mike Jr.- B.S. in Viticulture and Enology [grape growing and winemaking] from Cornell University), they are proud to carry on a tradition as fourth generation farmers.
Our family has made wine here since our ancestors emigrated from Italy in the early 1900s, and we are dedicated to offering premium quality wine in an entertaining and down to earth atmosphere. Our last name “Beneduce” means “Good Leader” in Italian, and we have our sights set on becoming leaders of quality wine production in New Jersey.
