OUR FARM
The Winery
Inside the winery, our approach is simple – do everything necessary to bring out the best in each individual batch of fruit. Our small lot production allows us to hone in on the differences in each variety or blend, allowing us to create unique wines with distinct personalities that reflect both their vineyard source and our winemaker’s own style.
The winery itself is outfitted with some of the best equipment available to the industry, which allows for a more gentle processing of the fruit and a focus on quality over quantity. We offer a range of wine styles to suit every palate, though our main concentration is on aromatically intense, food-friendly wines.
The Vineyard
We grow 100% of our grapes on our 77 acre farm here in the rolling hills of Hunterdon County. Our unique, high elevation site is characterized by deep soils, a steady breeze, and several different slopes which are each suited to their own variety. Sustainability is at the forefront of every decision we make on the farm, because as a family rooted in agriculture we know that passing down healthy land to the next generation is our primary obligation.
Our 25 acres of vines are hand pruned, hand harvested, dry farmed, and fertilized only with compost we make here from grape skins and stems leftover from the winemaking process. We maintain a healthy, living vineyard floor year round and promote biodiversity through native plantings and integrated pest management. We’ve been proudly River Friendly Certified since 2016.
The Tasting Room
Think of our tasting room as your test kitchen – a friendly place to explore, enjoy, and maybe even find a new favorite. Let us guide you through a tasting of five of our current releases for $20 per person in our Seasonal Tasting, or treat yourself and book our $40 Local Pairing, which pairs six wines with a selection of truly local artisan cheeses and salumi. Our tastings are designed to be a relaxing, informal and enjoyable experience and are held inside our tasting room year round.
Reservations are recommended on weekends, though we usually have some space for walk-in tastings at our wine bar.
